Hugo Lloris confirms he is a magician with ridiculous save vs. Chicharito
Bayer Leverkusen and Tottenham's scoreline might reflect a rather dull match, but it was anything but. Despite a 0-0 score at the final whistle, both teams went at each other with reckless abandon. The offenses looked sharp, but both defenses somehow managed to keep their opponent off the scoresheet.
Of course, saves like this from Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris against Leverkusen's Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez helped quite a bit.
It's no easy task denying Chicharito at the goal mouth, especially in the Champions League. The Mexican star has been so prolific as of late that you can't help but expect him to finish the job. Lloris didn't get that memo, however, pulling off a save that was simply incredible. Somehow, Lloris dove back across the face of his goal to cradle the ball, and still managed to redirect his momentum to keep it from completely crossing the line. Seriously, look at just how close of a call it was:
That ball is about three-fourths of the way in. That's a special save from the Frenchman, who clearly took at least one class at Hogwarts.
