Hoffenheim signs Brazilian Firmino

Hoffenheim has signed 19-year-old midfielder Roberto Firmino from the second-division Brazilian club Figueirense FC.

Firmino passed a medical test on Monday and signed a contract valid through June 2015.

Hoffenheim says Firmino will join its Bundesliga squad in January for the second half of the season.

No details of the deal were given.
