Hearts stars set to get paid
Hearts manager John McGlynn and his unpaid players have been assured they will receive their overdue wages by the close of play on Friday.
McGlynn and six of Hearts' highest earners did not receive their salaries on schedule on Tuesday as the capital club failed to pay their entire squad on time for a second successive month.
McGlynn said: "The latest is that everyone will be paid by the end of play today.
"We've just been told that, so I've not had any reaction from the players, but I'm sure they'll be happy."
September's breach triggered a transfer embargo under new Scottish Premier League regulations, while the SPL board will discuss the situation at Hearts at a meeting on Monday.
Hearts host Motherwell in the SPL at Tynecastle on Sunday.
