Harry: Sandro set for Spurs switch

Spurs have been chasing Sandro since last summer and Inter announced overnight that a deal had been agreed for the 21-year-old. Redknapp is excited about the prospect of bringing Sandro on board for next season, providing he passes a medical and is awarded a work permit. "It would be fantastic," said Redknapp. "The chairman has been dealing with it. I got a phone call this morning from the chairman saying that he thought we were close to doing it. "Hopefully it will get done now and it will be a good signing. "He is an outstanding young player. He is on the verge of the Brazilian team. He has already played for Brazil and captained the Under-18s, 19s and 21s. "He is strong. He looks a very, very good player so I am looking forward to getting him here." Inter announced that Sandro is due in London this week to undergo a medical but he would not complete a move - reported to be valued between £9-12million - until August, after the Copa Libertadores finishes. Sandro will not automatically qualify for a work permit because he has played just once for Brazil, in their World Cup qualifier against Chile.
