Hamid in goal, Carter-Vickers, Miazga start at Ireland
Bill Hamid started in goal for the United States' exhibition at Ireland behind what is likely the Americans' first-choice back four.
DeAndre Yedlin was at right back, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Matt Miazga in the center, and Jorge Villafana at left back for Saturday's match in Dublin.
Wil Trapp was in defensive midfield, behind Tim Weah, Tyler Adams, Weston McKennie and Rubio Rubin. Bobby Wood was the lone forward.
Weah, McKennie and Rubin were the only holdovers from the starting lineup in Monday's 3-0 win over Bolivia in Chester, Pennsylvania.
Yedlin, Villafana and Wood were the only starters with more than six previous international appearances. Six starters are 22 and younger, and the average age of 23 years, 73 days was up from 22-160 on Monday.
Three players on the bench hoped to make their international debuts: defenders Shaq Moore and Tim Parker, and midfielder Luca de la Torre.
