Hamburg striker Van Nistelrooy injures groin

Hamburger SV striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has torn a groin muscle and will be out for an undetermined period.

The Bundesliga club says a scan determined the injury on Wednesday. The Dutch striker had to leave Tuesday's practice.

Van Nistelrooy had just come back from a bruised knee.
