Greece beat Luxembourg 3-0 in its opening World Cup qualifying game on Saturday.

Vasileios Torosidis and Theofanis Gekas scored in the first half, with Angelos Charisteas converting a 77th-minute penalty to give Greece three points in Group 2.

Israel and Switzerland are expected to be Greece's main rivals in the group.
