Grant set to land Partizan role

Serbian media say former Chelsea manager Avram Grant is negotiating to take over Partizan Belgrade.

B-92 radio says Grant is considering an annual ?900,000 ($1.1 million) offer by the defending Serbian champions, plus a ?400,000 bonus if the team qualifies for the Champions League next season.

Current Partizan coach Aleksandar Stanojevic will reportedly resign following his clash with the club management over personnel issues.

Grant, who led Chelsea to its only Champions League final, was fired from relegated West Ham last May. He previously led relegation-bound Portsmouth to the FA Cup final.

At the midseason break, Partizan leads the Serbian league standings, 10 points ahead of Belgrade rival Red Star.
