Goalkeeper comes up with brilliant response to time-wasting opponent

Time-wasting is a pretty low, yet popular strategy used by teams trying to hang onto a lead late in games. We see it every week and in every league, in a variety of ways, and -- barring an occasional yellow card -- the offenders usually get away with it, too.

Do it around Plaza Colonia goalkeeper Kevin Dawson, though, and you’ll at least be shamed for the world to see.

Facing Rampla Juniors at home and trailing 1-0, Dawson spotted an opponent he presumed was faking an injury to kill precious seconds off the clock, and decided he was going to 'help him out.'

"Oh he's up again? That's weird." *Chucks stretcher over advertising hoards*

Ironically, Dawson was the one who got booked for unsportsmanlike conduct, and basically wasted even more time on his own accord with his sarcastic gesture.

Plaza did go on to score a dramatic late equalizer in the 92nd minute, however, so at the end of the day Dawson will feel like karma won out.
