Gibraltar FA fires coach Allen Bula
GIBRALTAR (AP) The coach who led Gibraltar into international football has been fired.
The Gibraltar Football Association says Allen Bula is leaving ''after a thorough and careful investigation into internal matters.''
The GFA is ''committed to safeguarding football on the Rock and ensuring that the national team remains the pinnacle of Gibraltarian football.''
No details were given on who will select the team for a European Championship qualifying match at Scotland on March 29.
Under Bula, Gibraltar has lost all four matches and conceded 21 goals in its first major tournament program.
Gibraltar joined UEFA as its 54th member in 2013 and played its first international match that November, a 0-0 draw with Slovakia.
Its first win was 1-0 against Malta in a friendly last June.
