Gianluigi Buffon surprised his biggest fan by getting a tattoo of his face

Fresh off one of his best ever seasons in a Juventus shirt, goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon had a surprise for his biggest fan.

Italy and Juve superfan Gio names Buffon as his favorite ever player, even going so far as to ink a tattoo of the 38-year-old goalkeeper on his leg. As a reward for his fanaticism and loyalty, the legendary Italy captain planned an elaborate ruse. Gio was tricked into thinking he would be featured in a documentary about tattoos, but ended up getting to meet his idol, who then surprised him with a henna tattoo of his own likeness on his shoulder.

After a historic season where he helped lead Juventus from to a record fifth Scudetto in a row, not to mention breaking Serie A's record for longest stretch without conceding a goal, Buffon helped make a fan's day, month, probably even his lifetime. Let's hope that henna washes off though, Gigi.
