Ghana captain Appiah out 30-40 days

Ghana captain Stephen Appiah will be out for 30-40 days due to a right leg injury. Bologna said Saturday the midfielder tore a muscle in a midweek friendly. Bologna signed Appiah in November on a free transfer. While still a regular for Ghana, Appiah did not play for any club last season after being released by Fenerbahce in 2008.
