Getafe coach Sanchez Flores steps down after 2 months
MADRID (AP) Getafe coach Quique Sanchez Flores has stepped down less than two months after taking over the Spanish club.
Sanchez Flores says his resignation is ''a personal decision, (and) product of vital reflection.''
The former Atletico Madrid and Valencia coach did not elaborate further.
Sanchez Flores began his second stint as Getafe coach on Jan. 5 after predecessor Cosmin Contra left to coach in China. He inherited the team four points above the relegation zone, and he left it in the same spot.
He says ''during two months I have left like a real coach again.''
