Hamburger SV battled with 10 men to draw 3-3 at Schalke on Sunday and go level on points with Bundesliga leader Bayer Leverkusen.

Leverkusen, which like second-place Hamburg is unbeaten in the league, drew 1-1 with Borussia Dortmund on Friday and stays top on goal difference. Both teams have 22 points.
