Genoa fires Marino as coach, reappoints Malesani
Genoa has fired Pasquale Marino and reappointed Alberto Malesani, marking the 17th coaching change in the 20-team Serie A since the preseason.
Genoa announced the move on Monday with the team 16th in the standings after nine games without a win, culminating in the 5-4 loss to Inter Milan on Sunday. The run includes five losses and four draws.
Malesani was fired in December after a 6-1 thrashing by Napoli, but Genoa was equal on points with the ninth-place team at the time.
