Gareth Bale still hasn't returned to training as injury could keep him out from trophy chases

Gareth Bale still isn't training with the team, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane revealed on Saturday. The update comes as the Merengues get ready for what Zidane has called "four finals" in pursuit of La Liga and Champions League crowns.

"We have to see day to day with Gareth Bale," he told reporters at a news conference. "He is continuing in the gym, working, trying to get rid of his discomfort.

"It's getting better, but you have to go day by day. But he's not even training with us. I cannot tell you when he will return, but hopefully it is soon."

Bale hurt his calf in Real Madrid's Champions League quarterfinal win over Bayern Munich. The injury wasn't called season-ending at the time, but it's looking like it could be now.

Real Madrid have three La Liga matches in the next two weeks, and if they win all three then they will win the league crown. Then on June 3, the Merengues have the Champions League final, where they will attempt to be the first team to win the tournament in consecutive seasons.

That timeline leaves Bale three weeks to get healthy enough to play. That's not very long for a player who still can't train with the rest of the team, and now it's starting to look possible that he doesn't see the field again this season. That would mean Real Madrid playing their "four finals" without him as they chase two trophies.
