FFF president calls on France to match Spain
The president of the French Football Federation has called on the national team to show it is the equal of Spain after being drawn in the same World Cup qualifying group as the current champions.
Saturday's draw in Rio de Janeiro for the 2014 tournament in Brazil pitted France, the 1998 champion, against Spain, Georgia, Belarus and Finland in the only group with five teams instead of six.
FFF president Noel Le Graet says ''it's an extremely difficult group'' and ''we must narrow the gap with this team to be very competitive.''
