Ferdinand plays down injury fears

The 31-year-old Manchester United and England defender has been persistently troubled by a back problem and missed last Sunday's Carling Cup final and England's friendly victory over Egypt on Wednesday. But Ferdinand claims his most recent spell on the sidelines is nothing to worry about and he is set to face Wolves at Molineux on Saturday in the Premier League. The new England captain said in The Sun: "This latest problem has only been a minor setback. It's just been precautionary, me not playing, to make sure it doesn't get any worse. "But I'm fine now, no pain, so I'm cool. "It was decided it was best for me to stay in Manchester and train, rather than with England."
