Falcao takes reins at Internacional
Defending Copa Libertadores champion Internacional has appointed former Brazil player Paulo Roberto Falcao as its new coach.
The former AS Roma star had been working as a commentator for Brazil's leading television channel.
The 57-year-old Falcao helped Internacional win three Brazilian league titles as a player, in 1975-76 and '79.
He coached Brazil at the 1991 Copa America, and also briefly commanded Japan's national and Mexico's America. He coached Internacional in 1993, but only 14 matches.
The elegant defensive midfielder started for Brazil at the 1982 and 1986 World Cups.
Inter had recently fired Celso Roth after disappointing results.
