FA to probe attack on Bellamy
Manchester United could face disciplinary action after a bottle of
cider and a coin were hurled at Manchester City forward Craig
Bellamy during Wednesday's League Cup semifinal match.
Adam Teese, 26, was charged Thursday with throwing an object
onto the Old Trafford pitch as United beat City 3-1 in the second
leg to advance 4-3 on aggregate. If convicted, he faces a lifetime
ban from United.
Eleven fans were arrested in total at the match and United
could be fined by the Football Association.
The FA will study reports from referee Howard Webb and
United's security team before deciding if any action needs to be
taken.
