FA Cup draw: Liverpool go to Exeter, Arsenal host Sunderland

Holders Arsenal host Sunderland in the FA Cup third round, Liverpool travel to Exeter, while Manchester United host Sheffield United in the pick of the ties.

The Gunners, who have won the trophy for the past two seasons, begin their defence against Sam Allardyce's Sunderland, whom they beat 3-1 at the Emirates on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp will get his first experience of the competition in what will be unfamiliar surroundings after they were drawn away to League Two Exeter, while Louis van Gaal's Manchester United begin their bid against Sheffield United.

Manchester City will travel to Norwich in a one of five all-Premier League ties, with Watford hosting Newcastle, Tottenham clashing with Leicester and Southampton battling Crystal Palace the others.

The matches will be played between January 8 and 11, 2016.
