Euro 2024 power rankings: Spain still on top, but must prove it all over again

After a group stage that produced incredible drama in five of the six groups, this is the point where there is no more room for error.

When head coaches talk about the knockout stage being like a different tournament, they’re not joking. Cautiously playing for a draw doesn’t cut it anymore; not that there has been much negativity in this tournament anyway.

Prior form only counts for confidence, as everyone has to prove it all over again — as the competition has just 15 do-or-die contests remaining.

Spain remains a worthy No. 1 in the FOX Sports Euro 2024 ranking list, while the likes of Georgia, Slovenia and Slovakia, delighted at still being in the competition, will try to make the dream last a little longer.
