Eriksen snubs Leverkusen switch
Christian Eriksen has rejected a move to the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, the Ajax midfielder's agent has confirmed.
Leverkusen were keen to recruit the Denmark international, widely regarded as one of the best young players in Europe, but saw their advances rebuffed.
The Bundesliga side were reportedly willing to offer Eriksen a lucrative contract but the 21-year-old midfielder is adamant he will only leave the Amsterdam ArenA for a club at which his sporting ambitions can be met.
His agent Martin Schoots told Voetbal International: "Christian will only leave Ajax on sporting grounds, that's his main criteria."
Zenit St Petersburg have also tried without success to lure Eriksen to Russia, while Liverpool are also rumoured to be interested.
