Luis Suarez scored one and created the other for Mounir El Hamdaoui to fire Ajax back on top of the Dutch league in a 3-0 win over NAC Breda on Saturday.

Jan Vertonghen put Ajax in front after 15 minutes on Eyong Enoh's pass before Suarez set up El Hamdaoui for the second in the 30th. Suarez's free kick made it 3-0 in the 79th.

Defending champion FC Twente moved to second thanks to a 1-0 win over Feyenoord. Substitute Denny Landzaat scored against his former club 12 minutes from time.

Ajax, seeking its record 30th league title but first in six years, has 20 points after nine rounds. Twente has 19, one more than PSV Eindhoven, which travels to Willem II on Sunday.

Hugo Bargas and Steve de Ridder scored to give De Graafschap a 2-2 draw at FC Utrecht. Jan Wuytens and Zambia winger Jan Wuytens netted first half-goals for Utrecht.

Frantisek Kubik and Dmitri Boelykin each scored in ADO The Hague's 2-1 win over Exelsior Rotterdam, which had Miquel Nelom and Norichio Nieveld separately ejected.

Graziano Pelle's 89th-minute goal gave AZ Alkmaar a 1-0 win over VVV-Venlo.
