Djukic takes charge at Hercules

Former Serbia boss Djukic replaces Esteban Vigo, who was sacked following Sunday's 4-0 defeat at home to Osasuna which left the newly-promoted club at the foot of the table. The 45-year-old, who coached Serbia for eight months before being sacked in 2008, has agreed an initial deal until the end of the season. He faces a tough task in keeping the Alicante-based side in the top flight, however. Hercules have won just one of their last 11 games and are four points adrift of Real Zaragoza, who occupy the final spot above the relegation zone.
