Davies interest hotting up

Davies does not figure in the plans of Villa manager Gerard Houllier and has been on loan at Leicester since October. He is available for a fee reported to be around £2.5million and a number of clubs are thought to be interested in a January swoop. Wolves, Stoke and Bolton are among those to have been linked with the 25-year-old, while Werder Bremen are believed to want to take him to Germany. Davies' representative Phil Sproson admits going abroad is a possibility and expects a battle for his signature. "It's no secret Villa have made it quite clear Curtis is available," Sproson told The Guardian. "There is an agreement in terms of the price, which is very competitive given his quality and experience. "We are considering a couple of options, including going overseas."
