Damiao agent claims Prem offers

Spurs have long been linked with a move for Damiao, who so far this season has scored 17 goals in 13 games in the Brazilian league. Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and AC Milan have also been credited with an interest in the 22-year-old, along with Ukrainian outfits Shakhtar Donetsk, Dnipro and Dynamo Kiev. Damiao signed a new long-term contract in the summer and only this month, his representatives indicated that he could decide to stay in Brazilian football. His representatives Sivori & Asociados still believe it is unlikely Damiao will move in January, but they claim there are offers on the table. Pointing to the English interest, they also confirm that Damiao does not possess an EU passport - although e would likely gain a work-permit on appeal having already claimed four full caps at 22. "The big clubs wait to take player like him, to be sure that a player does well, that he can prove himself," the Sivori & Asociados spokesman told Sky Italia. "In January Damiao would cost less than now, but was still considered a risk. "Now Damiao has important requests: there is a good offer of Tottenham, one from Arsenal and even some Spanish clubs are sounding out Internacional," he said. "It's normal: he's a striker born in 1989, he attracts a lot interest. It should be considered, however, that he has the non-EU passport."
