Cuenca undergoes knee surgery
Barcelona forward Isaac Cuenca will be out for three or four more months after undergoing a knee operation.
The 22-year-old, who was loaned to Ajax in January, went under the knife hoping to fix the meniscus problem in March, but has required further surgery and now looks set to miss the start of the new season.
A statement on Barcelona's website on Friday morning read: "The player Isaac Cuenca has undergone an arthroscopic stabilisation of the meniscus in his right knee.
"The estimated time on the sidelines will be around three or four months."
Cuenca played 30 matches for the Barca first team in the 2011/12 campaign, scoring four goals, but did not feature for the Catalan giants due to injury in 2012/13 before moving to Amsterdam.
