Cristiano Ronaldo Will Return Saturday

Cristiano Ronaldo hasn’t played a minute of football since injuring his knee in mid-July in the final of the Euro’s. After missing the first two La Liga games, Ronaldo will be back Saturday as Real Madrid will look to stay perfect against Osasuna.

Much to the delight of all Real Madrid fans, Fox Sports and Cristiano Ronaldo himself have confirmed that the star winger will make his first appearance for Los Blancos this Saturday hosting Osasuna in the Santiago Bernabeua.

Ronaldo returned to training shortly after the UEFA Super Cup triumph over Sevilla in early August but was very limited up until about a week ago. He has been slowly upping the intensity of his running drills and live action drills over the course of the month and he feels fully fit and ready to make his season debut this weekend.

Real Madrid haven’t missed the UEFA Best Player in Europe too badly as Gareth Bale and others have shown that despite not having Ronaldo, the team can still manage to put the ball in the back of the net. Real have scored five goals in their first two contests and have allowed just 1.

Ronaldo will only add to an already confident squad and with Champions League play kicking off in a little over a week, it will be vital to have Ronaldo back not only for his talent, but for depth purposes also.

The players will be returning from their international duties in the coming days and the preparations will begin for a congested slate of games coming the rest of September.

Zinedine Zidane will be happy to have his best team at his disposal but may hesitate on playing his best possible squad with a short three day turn around before facing Sporting September 14th at home in Madrid.
