Cristiano Ronaldo out for Real Madrid's Champions League semifinal vs. City
Cristiano Ronaldo is out for Real Madrid's Champions League semifinal against Manchester City. Ronaldo reportedly failed a fitness test ahead the clash, per Radio Marca.
The Real Madrid star limped off toward the end of Los Blancos' 3-0 win against Villarreal in La Liga play last week, and sat out Saturday's match against Rayo Vallecano.
The thigh injury put Ronaldo's fate for Tuesday's pivotal semifinal in doubt, but the player traveled with the team to Manchester, leading many to believe he would be fit for Tuesday's contest.

In 10 appearances this tournament, Ronaldo has tallied a whopping 16 goals and 4 assists. With the Portuguese out of the team, Real Madrid will have to turn to the likes of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema to help shoulder the load.
Regardless of the talent available behind Ronaldo, Real Madrid's pursuit of their 11th Champions League title certainly becomes more difficult if CR7's injury lingers.
