Cristiano Ronaldo can't stop 'staring at himself on the big screen' during games

Cristiano Ronaldo apparently spends as much time checking himself out on the big screen during games as he does terrorizing opposing full backs.

Wolfsburg defender Bruno Hernandez recently spoke with Goal about his first six months in Europe after coming over from Brazil's Serie A in January, and said his lasting memory so far had to be facing Ronaldo and Real Madrid in the Champions League quarterfinals.

Ronaldo only scored a hat trick in the decisive second leg to keep Real's title hopes alive. That, and checking himself out every chance he got, according to Hernandez.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the biggest players in the world. I never imagined that one day I would be marking him. It was exciting," Hernandez told Goal.

"What I also saw differently is that he kept staring [at] himself in the big screen the whole time."

Wait, wait, wait. Ronaldo? Checking himself out? Are you sure?

Ronaldo was caught watching a video of himself on his phone while on the bench against Man City.

Nah, that doesn't sound like him. Maybe you've got the wrong Ronaldo?

Alright, so maaaybe what Hernandez is saying is true. But why would we care, or even be surprised? Any of us would be doing the exact same thing if we looked like THIS:

Besides, at least he hasn't pulled an A-Rod (yet).

Major League Baseball star Alex Rodriguez regrets this photo to this day.
