Coyle hoping for Holden lift

The USA midfielder recently went back to the States for treatment on a knee injury that has limited him to just one Carling Cup outing this season. He returned to Bolton this week and while Coyle is no nearer to knowing when the 26-year-old will be fit, he feels the American's presence will lift the rock-bottom Trotters. The manager told The Sun: "Stuart has been working hard with the US national team and, with long-term injuries, it's important players can work within the comforts of their family support. "It can be a lonely road with long-term injuries. He's a character, everyone likes him and it will be a boost for the lads." Struggling Bolton travel to Fulham on Saturday and will be desperate to end a run of four consecutive defeats. Coyle is running out of patience with his players and has called for a fearless approach at Craven Cottage. He said: "People talk about pressure and fear but there shouldn't be any. "The players don't want for anything. They are wealthy men, so why should they be playing with fear? "They should want to go out there, express themselves and want to play for Bolton. Unfortunately, there has not been enough of that this season."
