Colombia defeats Venezuela in friendly

Colombia defeated Venezuela 2-0 in a friendly on Friday, with goals from Juan Guillermo Cuadrado and Dayron Moreno.

Cuadrado scored with a powerful shot in the 17th minute and Moreno used his speed to beat the defense, adding the clincher in the 66th.

Both teams failed to qualify for the 2010 World Cup and are regrouping for the 2011 Copa America in Argentina.

The match was played before 20,000 in the Puerto La Cruz, located about 350 kilometers east of the captial.
