Coach Clement follows Ancelotti to Bayern Munich

Paul Clement will renew his partnership with Carlo Ancelotti at Bayern Munich next season, the German champions have confirmed.

Clement has been appointed as Ancelotti's assistant, a role he previously held at Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

The 44-year-old held his first position as manager at Derby after Ancelotti left Real Madrid last summer, but he was sacked in February despite losing just seven of his 33 games in charge.

Clement will share assistant coach duties with Hermann Gerland, a Bayern institution who worked under Louis van Gaal, Juup Heynckes and Pep Guardiola.

Ancelotti's son Davide, meanwhile, has been named part of his father's health and fitness team.
