Clement back in full training
St Etienne midfielder Jeremy Clement has resumed training - four and a half months after fracturing his right ankle.
The 28-year-old underwent surgery in the aftermath of a heavy challenge from Nice midfielder Valentin Eysseric on March 2 and on Thursday joined his team-mates in their preparations for the new season.
Attaching a picture of the player in action, the club posted on Twitter: "Big smile for Jeremy Clement! He returned to group training this morning."
Eysseric was shown a red card for fouling Clement in the 24th minute of a 4-0 home victory for Les Verts, with the ASSE player receiving lengthy treatment on the pitch at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard before being taken to hospital.
The 21-year-old was subsequently given an 11-match ban by the Ligue 1 disciplinary committee.
St Etienne begin their 2013/14 league campaign at Ajaccio on Sunday, August 11.
