City defender Kompany not fit enough for UCL clash vs. PSG

Vincent Kompany will not be part of Manchester City's squad for their quarter-final second leg clash with Paris Saint Germain.

The City skipper trained on Monday in a bid to prove his fitness ahead of PSG's visit to the Etihad on Wednesday night.

But City boss Manuel Pellegrini says he can't risk Kompany, who has not featured for City since suffering a calf injury against Dynamo Kiev in the round of 16.

"He is not 100 per cent. It is not possible," Pellegrini told reporters ahead of Wednesday's game.

But there is better news regarding the fitness of fellow defender Nicolas Otamendi. The Argentine is in the City squad and looks set to feature against Laurent Blanc's side despite hurting his ankle in 2-1 win over West Brom at the weekend.
