Check out this leaked Tottenham Hotspur kit for next season

Tottenham Hotspur usually have pretty simple jerseys. The Lilywhites, well, wear white. Toss in some blue shorts (white for European matches) and white socks and you have a pretty straightforward, tasteful kit.

Next season's variety may not be quite as easily likeable, though. A kit leak spotted by Cartilage Free Captain shows a shirt with blue shoulders and gold accents.

A member of the Cartilage Free community found the kit in a store and it looks legitimate. This isn't a fuzzy mockup that one could do on a computer. It's a real shirt, with all the appropriate logos and even the Under Armour tags. Odds are that this is what Tottenham will be wearing next season.

The blue shoulders will undoubtedly cause a divide among the Spurs supporters. Some will hate it entirely on the basis of it being a break from tradition. And then even those who could get behind a conventional kit might not be a fan of the way it looks. And then there is the odd use of gold, replacing the normal yellow accents that the club usually use when they add a third color.

Basically, it's taking chance after chance in a departure from what works. That doesn't often go over well. God speed to the people who run the social media accounts of both the club and manufacturer.

Then again, this is the kit Spurs are going to wear in the Champions League and for Tottenham, any Champions League kit is a good one. Plus, if they manage to catch Leicester and win the league, a gold Premier League badge on the sleeve will look awfully nice with those gold accents.
