Chadli completes Spurs move

Tottenham have completed the £7million signing of Nacer Chadli from FC Twente after the winger passed a medical and agreed personal terms.

The 23-year-old, who spent three years in the Eredivisie with Twente and scored in both Champions League ties against Spurs in 2010, is with his new club on their pre-season trip to Hong Kong and could feature against South China on Saturday.

Chadli has 14 international caps for Belgium after initially representing Morocco in a non-competitive fixture.

Although utilised as a striker by his country, he has played most of his club football on the left wing and could fill the position vacated by Gareth Bale following his move inside at the end of last season.

He becomes the second major acquisition of the summer for Andre Villas-Boas following the arrival of Brazil international midfielder Paulinho from Corinthians.
