Cats keen on permanent Hutton deal

Hutton has impressed Bruce since joining the club in the January transfer window from Tottenham and he has made six appearances for the Black Cats. The Scotland international has been unable to make a sustained impact for Spurs since his arrival from Rangers in 2008 and Harry Redknapp has plenty of options at right-back. Bruce has yet to speak to his Spurs counterpart regarding the possibility of keeping Hutton at the Stadium of Light on a long-term basis. But the Black Cats chief confirmed that he would be keen to agree a deal for the 25-year-old, who cost Tottenham a fee in the region of £8million. "I have not yet had any conversation with Harry Redknapp to see if he will be available," said Bruce. "But if he was available in the summer, of course, I would be interested. "He has done particularly well for us and has slipped into the team very nicely."
