Cagliari vs. Inter moved to Trieste
Cagliari's Serie A match against Inter Milan will be played at the Stadio Nereo Rocco in Trieste, nearly 600 miles away from the Sardinian city.
The game, scheduled to take place on April 7, cannot be held at Cagliari's home ground because the Stadio Sant'Elia is unavailable due to an ongoing dispute with the local city council over required renovation work.
The league and the club announced the switch due to ''the uncertainty about completing the season at the Sant'Elia, whose capacity for a long time has been well below the minimum required by regulations.''
Trieste is in the northeast of Italy while Cagliari is based on the island of Sardinia.
