Bremen and Bochum fined for fans' behavior
The German Football Federation has fined Werder Bremen ?4,000 for ''unsporting behavior'' after fans lit firecrackers during the first round of the German Cup.
The DFB said Bremen supporters set off the firecrackers before and during their side's 2-1 loss at FC Heidenheim on July 30.
Second-division side Bochum was fined ?3,000, after fans lit flares and firecrackers during their side's promotion playoff with Borussia Moenchengladbach on May 25.
The DFB said Bochum fans also threw ''multiple objects'' in the direction of the corner flag in the 61st minute.
Bochum drew 1-1, but had lost the first leg 1-0.
Both Bremen and Bochum agreed to pay the fines.
