Blackpool v Wigan preview

Blackpool will be without midfielder David Vaughan against Wigan. Vaughan missed the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal last Sunday due to a hip injury and is seeing a specialist to determine the extent of the problem. Seasiders boss Ian Holloway does not feel that Matt Gilks is ready to return to first-team action yet as the goalkeeper continues his recovery after breaking his kneecap in November. Defender David Carney is undergoing surgery for his shoulder complaint and has been ruled out for the rest of the season. Left-back Maynor Figueroa is Wigan's only major absentee. The Honduras international collected his 10th booking of the season in the bottom club's defeat at Chelsea last weekend. The Latics are otherwise at full strength with youngster Callum McManaman pushing strongly for a return after recovering from a head injury suffered in January. Hugo Rodallega and Charles N'Zogbia are both likely to start despite being substituted just after the hour at Stamford Bridge.
