Bilyaletdinov eyes flowing football
Winger Diniyar Bilyaletdinov believes passing football could be the
key to Everton climbing their way back up the Premier League table.
The Russia star has been one of the Toffees' key performers
since his summer arrival from Lokomotiv Moscow, but his influence
has been limited in a team which has struggled without key
personnel.
A run of five league games without a win had seen David
Moyes' side drop to 15th position prior to Wednesday's night's
fixtures, but with the return of players like Leon Osman, Mikel
Arteta and Steven Pienaar on the horizon, Bilyaletdinov is hopeful
they will be soon be playing fast-flowing football.
He told the Liverpool Echo: "I like passing football. I don't
like it when the game is like ping pong. It's boring to watch and
boring to play in. I know many teams play like that, and it's about
hard work, but it's not good to see.
"I hear about players like Arteta and I've seen him play. I
have also played with Leon Osman before his injury.
"I am excited about playing with them, but I'm excited to be
playing alongside all my team-mates.
"I enjoy every second on the pitch in the Premier League.
"It's very physical but it's more about thinking of the
second and instant decision-making."
