Bayern Munich agree fee with Juventus for Chile's Arturo Vidal

Bayern Munich have agreed a fee with Juventus for midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Vidal looks set to join the German champions for a fee of $41 million, according to multiple reports in Italy. Germany’s Kicker meanwhile is reporting a fee of $38 million. Vidal is expected to sign a 5-year-deal believed to be worth around $7 million a season as early as Thursday night.

Pep Guardiola has been integral in the Bavarians' pursuit of the 28-year-old, who was heavily linked with moves to Real Madrid and Arsenal over the summer.

Though a key member of Juve's renaissance in the past four Serie A-winning years, the feeling within the club is that he is replaceable.

Vidal's contract is due to expire in the summer of 2017 - giving rise to fears that they would receive a much lower fee in a year's time.

With the fee agreed, Goal understands Vidal's move to Bayern could be completed on Thursday evening.
