Barcelona's Puyol to miss Arsenal return leg
Barcelona captain Carles Puyol will miss the return leg of the Champions League round of 16 series against Arsenal on Tuesday after failing to recover from tendinitis in his left knee.
The Spain center back has not played since Jan. 22 and missed Barcelona's 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the opening leg.
With Gerard Pique suspended, Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola will most likely start a central defensive pairing of Eric Abidal alongside Gabi Milito or Sergio Busquets.
Club doctors said Puyol aggravated his injury in training.
