Barcelona post over $650 million in revenue for last season

BARCELONA, Spain -- Barcelona says they made over 600 million euros ($650 million) in revenue last season, when they won a rare treble of titles including the Champions League.

The European champions say that an audit carried out by accounting firm Deloitte determined the club generated revenues of 608 million euros ($663 million) over the course of the 2014-15 season.

Barcelona adds that they earned a profit of 15 million euros ($16.3 million) after taxes during that time.

Barcelona, which also won the Spanish league and Copa del Rey last campaign, will hold elections for a president and executive board on Saturday.

Josep Bartomeu is running to remain as club president against three other candidates, including former president Joan Laporta.
