Barcelona manager Enrique wants Pedro to stay at Camp Nou
Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has said he wants Pedro to stay in Catalonia and revealed the player has not expressed his desire to leave.
Pedro's release clause has been set at £22million after it was lowered from a staggering £107million earlier in the summer and Manchester United are reportedly keen a move for the 28-year-old.
Enrique though is keen to keep hold of the player, who is a one-club man having made his first-team debut for Barca in January 2008.
"Pedro is a high-level player and as a coach I want him to stay here, but it is his decision," said Luis Enrique.
"There will only be exits if someone wants to leave and at the moment we don't have news about this."
The Spain attacking midfielder hinted over the weekend that he was heading for the Premier League after reportedly telling his family of the move.
It's understood Pedro is looking to find regular first-team football after making only 15 La Liga starts last season after the arrival of Luis Suarez.
Barcelona have played down Pedro's exit talk all summer and they have still not received an official bid for the player, but once Angel Di Maria's move to PSG is finalized, United are expected to make their move.
