Augsburg signs US defender Michael Parkhurst

Augsburg has signed U.S. defender Michael Parkhurst from Danish team FC Nordsjaelland on a free transfer.

The Bundesliga club says the 28-year-old Parkhurst has agreed to a deal from January 2013 until June 2015.

Parkhurst has made 15 appearances for the U.S.
