Arsenal's Djourou could return before season ends

Arsenal says defender Johan Djourou could return from injury before the end of the Premier League season despite manager Arsene Wenger having previously ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.

Djourou dislocated a shoulder in the FA Cup quarterfinal loss to Manchester United on March 12 after colliding with teammate Bacary Sagna.

Arsenal said Tuesday that the Switzerland international could resume training in about a month, saying ''there isn't a need for reconstructive surgery and he will now begin a period of rehabilitation on the shoulder.''

Arsenal is second in the league, five points behind Manchester United but with a match in hand.
