Arsenal midfielder Ozil 'to discuss new deal after Euro 2016'

Mesut Ozil is happy at Arsenal and will discuss a new contract with the club after Euro 2016.

Newspaper reports on Thursday suggested Ozil had delayed talks with the Gunners.

The midfielder has two years left on his contract and sources close to the player insist he is happy at the club and not looking for a move away.

Sky Sports understands the Germany international and the club had always intended to negotiate a new deal after the conclusion of Euro 2016, and not before.

While in Dubai last week, Ozil said: "I still have two years contract with Arsenal, as you know, and we will be in talks with the club and we'll see what happens in the future.

"But as I said, now I'm concentrating on Euro 2016 in France, which is very important for me and my team after the last World Cup. Then later on, I will see what I do with Arsenal."
